CodingWorkshop

About Team

CodingWorkshop group is a global community of people from all over the world, who believe that openness, innovation and opportunity are key to the continued helth of the software. We have worked together since February 2016 to ensure that the applications are developed in a way that benefits everyone. We use a community-based approach to create world-class Open Source programs and to develop new types of collaborative activities. We create a community of people involved in making software usage experience better for all of you. Years of practise and gained experience let us introduce you as good as possible applications. As a result of these efforts, we have distilled a set of principles that we believe are critical for the software to continue to benefit its users. We set out these principles as our Constitution and Code of Conduct.

Our mission is to promote safe, reliable, fast and generally well-designed and implemented software. It will help people to avoid crashes, data loss, viruses and other effects of security vulnerabilities. We would like to make people trust software they use and therefore we are going to convince programmers to optimize their code, use proper algorithms, design patterns, error handling and obey standards. Our point of view and other concepts highly rely on Free Software and Open Source Software. This gives people possibility to study the code and generally trust it. Our goal is to design and develop tools and software that allows users to do their work efficiently. Projects we maintain should help users to appreciate the richness of free software community and the flexibility of free software. This is only possible, when applications are designed to reflect and transmit users willings and leave the possibilities open as to the final form of the source code.

We pledge to support the CodingWorkshop Manifesto in its activities. Specifically, we will:

There are many different ways of advancing the CodingWorkshop principles. We welcome a broad range of activities, and anticipate the same creativity that team members have shown in other areas of our projects. For individuals not deeply involved in the CodingWorkshop, one basic and very effective way to support Manifesto is to use software that embody its principles.
